Red (Pain) was created in 2019 as part of the LIGHTWORKER series which was first debuted at Melanie Carr Gallery in Essex, CT. LIGHTWORKER was a series dedicated to transforming grief and pain into visual embodiments of recovery and healing. This piece was made by a repetitive physical gesture where my hands would start in child's pose posture and move up and down the canvas in a form of meditation and healing. This red painting in particular was a meditation on pain and then, healing the physical body. The dimensions are 18x24 inches and can be placed on your wall framed or unframed, both wonderful options. It's a reminder that in time, all of our suffering turns into strength and empathy.
